ORCHESTRA MANAGER POSITION
Phoenix Youth Symphony, the premier youth orchestral training program in Arizona since 1952, is seeking an experienced Orchestra Manager to co-ordinate with the PYS Board and five Conductors for performances, rehearsals, retreats and venues for two full orchestras and three ensembles utilizing full and part time volunteers.
This position presents an excellent opportunity for involvement with talented youth as a part time paid vocation.
Student musicians range from 5th grade thru High School. Activities extend from August to May, though the position has responsibilities year round.
Knowledge of classical music is necessary, but need not be extensive. Communication, organizational and team building abilities are critical to success.

Congratulations to 2017 Young Musicians Competition Grand Prize Winner Belle Wang (violin) and Otranto Prize Winner Bobae Johnson (violin). They will be performing their concertos, accompanied by The Phoenix Symphony, at the Side-by-Side Concert on Sunday, March 26 at 3:00 pm at Phoenix Symphony Hall. Congratulations to all of the Junior and Senior Division winners of the 57th Annual Young Musicians Competition held on Saturday, January 7 & 8.
