10/26/14 YOUTH SYMPHONY FALL CONCERT

A GLORIOUS HARMONY
Sunday, October 26, 2014 3:00 pm at Chandler Center for the Arts

Phoenix Youth Symphony, conducted by Dr. Thomas Cockrell, performs with Phoenix Boys Choir

Concert sponsored by Southwest Gas Corporation 

The Youth Symphony will be performing Shostakovich’s 5th Symphony and Barber’s Overture to The School for Scandal.

The combined ensembles will perform Galuppi’s Dixit Dominus and Haydn’s Te Deum.

Tickets are available through the Chandler Center for the Arts Box Office: http://chandlercenter.org/performances.html and from Youth Symphony members.

Tickets:  $10-Adults (+$2 service fee);  $5-Students (through age 18)  (+ $2 service fee).

NOTE* – Keep your ticket stub from today’s concert and you can get in free to the All-Ensemble Fall Concert on Sunday, November 23 at McClintock High School!

11/23/14 ALL-ENSEMBLES FALL CONCERT

Sunday, November 23, 3:00pm at McClintock High School

Concert features all 6 PYS ensembles:  Percussion Ensemble, Chamber Winds, String Orchestra, Symphonic Winds, Symphonette Orchestra and Phoenix Youth Symphony

Tickets available at rehearsals or at the door: $10 for Adults and $5 for Students (3-18) and Seniors (62+)

12/7/14 YOUTH SYMPHONY TO NAU

Youth Symphony travels to Flagstaff to participate in sectionals led by NAU faculty members and an afternoon performance.

The concert features a side-by-side performance with the NAU Orchestra and NAU cello professor, Mary Ann Ramos, performing Paganini Moses Variations with the Youth Symphony. 

12/10/14 PSG/PYS ALUMNI CONCERT

Alumni are invited to perform with the Youth Symphony during rehearsal on Wednesday, December 10 at Central High School.  Click here for details and to register.

2/10/15 MUSIC MEMORY CONCERT FOR THE SCHOOLS

Featuring the Youth Symphony – under the direction of Dr. Thomas Cockrell

Tuesday, February 10 10:00am and 11:30am at North Phoenix Baptist Church

Concerts are free to elementary school students but reservations are required by school or homeschool group

2/22/15 TEACHER APPRECIATION CONCERT

Sunday, February 22, 3:00pm at McClintock High School

This special concerts recognizes the instrumental music teachers of PYS musicians.

Featuring: PYS Percussion Ensemble, String Orchestra, Symphonic Winds, Chamber Winds and Symphonette Orchestra

Tickets are available at rehearsals and at the door: $10 for Adults and $5 for Students (3-18) and Seniors (62+)

3/8/15 SIDE BY SIDE CONCERT

Featuring the Youth Symphony and The Phoenix Symphony under the direction of Dr. Thomas Cockrell

Sunday, March 8, 3:00pm at Phoenix Symphony Hall

The Young Musician Competition winners will be soloing with The Phoenix Symphony

4/23/15 SYMPHONETTE MUSICFEST CONCERT

Thursday, April 23 at Pinnacle Presbyterian Church, Scottsdale.

Two free concerts are given for fifth grade students in twelve schools using the Musicfest Minutes program.  Concerts are sponsored by Arizona Musicfest

5/3/15 SEASON FINALE – ALL ENSEMBLES

Sunday, May 3, 3:00pm at Orpheum Theatre

Tickets available at Orpheum Box Office (on the day of the concert) or Ticket Force  : $10 for Adults and $5 for Students (3-18)
