The Arizona Flute Society held their Young Artist Festival & Competition on November 2. Several of the winners are members of Symphonic Winds. Congratulations to:

Noah Dugan finalist for YoungArts Competition.

Noah Dugan is one of 150 YoungArts Finalist and will be spending a week in Miami in January. This national competition is sponsored by the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts. From these finalists, 20 winners are chosen by the Commission on Presidential Scholars and named U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts at a White House Ceremony.

Otranto Prize Winner – Austen Yueh, clarinet

They will be performing their winning concertos, accompanied by The Phoenix Symphony, at the annual

Side-by-Side Concert on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Phoenix Symphony Hall. Tickets are free and
